Tom Lei

As Head of Portfolio Finance and Operations, Tom supports Energize's portfolio companies in budgeting, finance and accounting strategy, transactions, and team building through our value creation platform, EDGE. He also supports portfolio-level financial reporting and finance collaboration initiatives.

Prior to joining Energize, Tom spent 14 years in both operational finance leadership roles as well as investment banking and private equity. Most recently, he was CFO of Songfinch, a Chicago-based creator marketplace. Before that, he led finance and accounting at Monarch Collective, a PE-backed rollup of vacation rental managers, and held strategic finance roles at Interior Define and ShopRunner. Earlier in his career, Tom worked in private equity at Origami Capital Partners and in investment banking at Baird.

Tom holds an A.B. in Economics from the University of Chicago, where he minored in Environmental Studies.
