As a principal on Energize's investment team, Mark is responsible for investment thesis creation, portfolio development and sourcing of new opportunities. With a background in energy and investing, Mark brings a unique blend of operating experience and investment acumen to the team.
Mark began his career as a chemical engineer at ExxonMobil, where he held various engineering and business analyst roles across the company’s U.S. Production and Chemical divisions. While in business school, Mark founded an upstream consultancy practice and worked at Bernhard Capital Partners, focusing on infrastructure and industrial services investments.
Mark holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. with Honors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Mark is a board director for Handle and a board observer for Urbint, TWAICE and Monta.
