Chris brings more than eight years of experience in accounting for both private and public companies, including SEC registered investment advisers. He supports Energize by managing the operations, financial reporting and budgeting of the firm’s management company and fund entities. Chris also assists with valuating portfolio companies, investor reporting and due diligence of prospective investments.
Prior to Energize, Chris worked at GCM Grosvenor with the Absolute Return Strategies fund accounting analysis team. His responsibilities included financial reporting and valuation, fund audits, SEC compliance, and the buildout of a data oversight model leveraging the operational capabilities of the firm’s fund administrators. Before joining Grosvenor, Chris worked in public accounting as an auditor for Miller Cooper & Co., Ltd. focusing on small to mid-sized privately held companies ranging from traditional manufacturing and distribution to technology startups to government entities.
Chris holds a Master’s of Accounting Science (MAS) and B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. He is an active CPA registered with the Illinois Board of Examiners.
