As a senior associate on Energize’s investment team, Anson is focused on refining investment theses, conducting comprehensive due diligence activities, and helping to drive the firm’s deal flow. His work regularly includes competitive landscape research, market analysis, financial evaluation, and company pipeline development.
Prior to joining Energize, Anson was an associate at Initialized Capital, where he focused on climate, enterprise software, healthcare, and frontier technology. He was responsible for evaluating new investments across verticals, providing strategic support for portfolio companies, and sourcing new potential investments.
Anson also has experience on the investment team Altaris Capital, a private equity firm based out of New York. There, he completed several platform deals and supported portfolio companies in and out of board meetings. Prior to that, Anson started his career as an associate consultant with EY-Parthenon in their Boston office, where he specialized in working with private equity and investor clients on commercial diligence and portfolio company strategy.
Anson graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a B.S. in biology and minors in chemistry and global health.
