Energize Ventures is thrilled to announce a new addition to our growing team! We officially welcomed Mark Tomasovic as an Investment Associate on May 18, 2020. Mark joined us full-time after completing his MBA at Harvard Business School this spring.
With a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas, Mark began his career at ExxonMobil where he held various roles in the company’s U.S. production and chemical business divisions. Experiencing firsthand the digital innovations transforming the energy industry, he pursued his MBA to study finance and expand his skillset to capital markets. Mark put his real-world experience and institutional knowledge to work during his summer associate internship at private equity firm Bernhard Capital Partners, where he focused on infrastructure and industrial services investments.
Given his background in oil and gas, it may come as no surprise that Mark is a native Texan. Now, the soon-to-be-Chicagoan is making his move to the Windy City and will join us in our office as soon as it reopens.
